How Long Will My Repair Take?

Diagnosis of your issue will normally be completed within 1 working day and if no parts need to be ordered in then we should be able to complete it within 24 hours. If parts are required we try to fit them the same day they arrive.

My repair needs parts, how long until they arrive?

Generally speaking, if parts aren't in stock they take 2-3 working days to arrive. We will keep you updated of any delays.

Can I keep my equipment whilst parts are on order?

Quite simply, yes!

Can I visit the workshop address anytime?

It is best to check as there is not always someone on site at present. If no one is there we can normally arrange to be there within 10-15 minutes during business hours.

Do you offer home visits?

Home or office visits are available within St Albans but please be aware that repairs carried out on site will often work out more expensive than repairs conducted at our workshop.

What payment methods do you accept?

Most credit and debit cards as well as Apple/Google Pay, Cash and Faster Payment Bank Transfers. Cheques are not accepted.

When is payment due?

Payment is normally due upon collection. Exceptions to this are if you retain your equipment whilst parts are ordered, specialist data recovery or the required parts are particularly expensive. In these cases a deposit or full payment will be required. Should a repair fail a refund, of course, will be issued.

Do you provide invoices?

Yes, on request. We are not a VAT registered company at present.

Can you provide remote assistance?

Yes, this will require you to install software on your machine as advised by one of our technicians.

Are your repairs guaranteed?

Yes. Normally for 3 months. If a part we supply is guaranteed for longer by the manufacturer then, in most cases, we will extend the warranty of the repair to match the part. Water or other physical damage as well as misuse will negate most warranties. On occassion Ver IT will offer a repair with no warranty. This will only be done with prior agreement with the customer.

Can you provide support outside of normal hours?

Yes, by prior arrangement.

My Data Recovery Requires a Specialist Lab. How does this work?

We are partnered with one of the top UK Data Recovery Laboratories. It costs £10 to ship to the lab for a free estimate. Estimates take around a week to receive.

Do you provide ongoing I.T. support for small businesses?

Yes we do, normally at a preferential hourly rate as a lot of small businesses do not have the budget or requirement for subscription based support.

Can Ver I.T. provide electrical soldering services?

Yes. However, very small or microsoldering is not something we can currently provide. Send us a description or picture of what you need doing and we will advise if we can complete the work.
